Product Overview

RMD/RMI stainless steel magnetic drive centrifugal pumps (referred to as magnetic pumps) primarily utilize the rotation of the outer magnet in the magnetic coupler. Magnetic lines of force pass through the gap and isolation sleeve to act on the inner magnet, enabling the pump shaft to rotate synchronously with the motor, transmitting torque without contact. At the power input end of the pump shaft, since the liquid is enclosed within the stationary isolation sleeve without dynamic seals, it completely eliminates the unavoidable leakage, dripping, and seepage phenomena in the petrochemical industry, ensuring zero leakage. This type of pump is suitable for conveying toxic, hazardous, flammable, explosive, and valuable liquid media, making it an ideal choice for creating leak-free and pollution-free workshops and factories.

Operating Environment

The RMD/RMI series magnetic pumps primarily feature austenitic stainless steel wetted parts but can also include non-metal linings or thermosetting plastics. These pumps, collectively referred to as metal magnetic pumps, are suitable for conveying liquids without ferromagnetic particles or fibers, with a maximum pressure of 1.6 MPa, temperatures not exceeding 120°C, and viscosity not greater than 30×10⁻⁶ m²/s. For systems with conveying medium pressures exceeding 1.6 MPa, temperatures above 120°C, or requiring insulation measures, our company can provide custom design and manufacturing.

Protection Devices:

1. Load controller monitors motor power consumption and can preset a safe operating range. It automatically cuts off power to stop the pump in cases of low load due to cavitation, flow interruption, or magnetic drive slippage, or overload caused by mechanical contact of rotating parts, preventing further damage.

2. Temperature sensor indirectly monitors the internal circulation system temperature by detecting the isolation sleeve temperature. If the temperature exceeds the set range, it triggers an alarm or sends an electrical signal to cut off power, protecting the equipment.

3. Dual isolation sleeve design allows monitoring of leakage between inner and outer sleeves using leakage detection instruments, ensuring reliable operation even in more demanding conditions.
